But here's another, more hopeful outcome. Pence goes down with Trump, which is entirely possible. That leaves us with Paul Ryan, who is dirty too, but also a spineless weasel. I harbor no fantasy about Republicans suddenly developing ethics or morals, but their biggest fear will come roaring up front and center...not being re-elected. The bully will be gone, and they'll be too scared to try and continue to ram through bullshit. If they lose the House and Senate next year, which I think is totally possible, their precious tax bill, which they all pretty much sold their souls for, will go up in smoke. Trump supporters will never accept run of the mill republicans as pure enough, so they'll follow Herr Drumpf off the cliff, split the republican party wide open, and slink back into their caves.
