83. I had a very nice moment this morning on a long drive -

instead of listening to current events news, I listened to Diane Rehm's new podcast, "On My Mind." In addition to a fascinating (to me) conversation with Michael Mosley, MD, author of "Clever Guts," about gut health (seriously - it's a thing! and an important one!), even more delightfully, Diane also interviewed Isabelle Allende who has just come out with a new book, "In the Midst of Winter." It includes themes of late-life love, and I learned that Diane Rehm just remarried at age 81!, after being widowed a couple years ago! Ms. Allende has also found love (again) at age 75!

I re-committed to trying to avoid "current events news," and instead keep up with the good side of humanity - science, art, literature.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOLABEAR! I always figured you lived in N'awlins...I live in eastern WA and am happy to know you are only a couple hours away!
