not alone if that helps even one iota. I'm about to turn 60. My father died in Feb. at 83 and my mother is 87. She is healthyish, but she is 87. She does weird old lady things. They had good lives with some bumps, and my mother continues to have a good life, but I look back and get sad about how I wish things had gone differently, things I had no control over, they just make me sad. Relatives are dying. I live in a family where everybody lives long, which is good, but then they die all together when they all are in their 80's at the same time. Meanwhile, nobody ever died the whole time I was growing up and now it's like being hit by a ton of bricks.
