(10,922 posts)While going to school, my father lived with the warden of a penal institution that incarcerated men convicted of rape. The warden maintained 30% of those convicted of rape in his prison were innocent - wrongly convicted ... in court no less.
With Bill Cosby, I have to confess that having followed all those 60 or so women's allegations, etc, I think he's guilty. And I really liked what I knew of the man before then. I think he belongs in p rison. But I also think he should be convicted in a court of law before he spends time in jail.
With Franken, we have some grounds for suspicion that warrant a review. But until the facts are collected and scrutinized, I do not think he should have to resign - particularly when most if not all of these allegations are suspect to some extent - none are beyond reasonable doubt.
