I am astounded how many people have convinced themselves of this lie. They've been old, white, and reactionary for years, and their election numbers keep getting bigger, not smaller. Texas is half Hispanic and still bright red. No one is stopping them from disenfranchising anyone they feel might vote Dem. Your prediction that an Obama re-election (right now about a 50-50 shot) will somehow turn the country around is so demented, I wonder if you're a mole. Not only has the president failed to stand up to any far right initiatives during his 3.5 years (including the two during which he had Dem congress), but all of the polls show that the next Congress is going to be worse. He is weak, "centrist" (meaning far to the right of Ronald Reagan), and completely incapable of leading people to do anything except show up at the polls.
