(32,971 posts)70. The last time I felt this good
was when Obama won his first and second elections.
My daughter was one of the lucky people who had a ticket to attend Obama's triumphant entry into Grant Park after the win. She kept texting those of us at the county Democratic headquarters, and we kept jumping up and down.
For his second win, my husband and I were lucky enough to have tickets to election night at McCormick Place. We got to see and hear the last real President when he came in and gave his victory speech.
I suppose we were lucky enough to win those lotteries because we all live in Illinois. But we also worked our asses off for Obama.
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked so hard for Doug Jones!

I am just hoping that this will finally be the beginning of the end for him.

I hope it will be the beginning of the end. I know there will be a backlash!

Not long ago, we had across the board wins. Remember Virginia? Yes, this one feels real good. Nt

Yes. It feels wonderful! We need to keep Russia out of our elections so we can enjoy more of this!

But I'm not ignoring all the work folks did getting out and voting, and getting behind Jones!
