10. I'm not sure that worked beyond deplorables

The old BBC series "The Power of Nightmares" made the point that the only real feature that all "conservative" factions, including radical Islamists, is hatred of "liberal." I say that's a trait shared by all fascists. I don't think we ever make any significant dent in that irrational loathing other than the impending demographics. It's fear generated and hard wired into authoritarian brains.

What Bannon did was mobilize these mopes and created a perfect storm. I don't see that being duplicated any time soon.
