117. I agree with you that times have changed.

But there are hundreds of thousands of people wanting to get into America every year. And as another poster pointed out, many other countries are more racist and xenophobic than many cities here.

I don't believe in 'love it or leave it'. I just don't see the point of encouraging others to leave who clearly haven't established ties in this country.

If they don't have ties here, what makes them think it will be different in another country?

And many people who want to leave -or have already left- point out that the reason for leaving is that they don't agree with certain political philosophies.

Disagreement with philosophy doesn't seem like a very cogent subject with which to uproot oneself. Now if they are personally unhappy for some other concrete reason other than wanting to bask in the knowledge that they are among their 'own kind', I'd like to hear that.
