In reply to the discussion: Jon Stewart says he’s leaving The Daily Show [View all]I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but Stewart and Colbert have always seemed to revel in their "rivalry," going back to the Rally and before.
Same's true of Stewart and Carell. I still laugh when I think back to Carell's first appearance as a guest on TDS after leaving the "correspondent" gig there.
