If the US were to go back on an agreement they entered into with the UK, Germany, Iran, China and France, there would be massive repercussions with the other nations involved. The Republicans are massively overstating their power, and the power the US has in these negotiations. Unless they want to enter a war with just Israel in their pocket against Russia, China and Iran, even they need allies. You don't gain those by spitting in the face of those who dealt with you in good faith.

Which brings us to the real problem with the current crop of Republicans, they can't see the big picture for their overly inflated egos. Which is why they have no concept of diplomacy or the negotiations involved in such.
