but not in the way you might think. I suppose you have some proof that he has been chasing people around for years and popping them with his gun? He has been in the neighborhood watch for years and yet no one has EVER filed a complaint against him. Hmmm, that doesn't seem like he is some kind of crazed cowboy with guns blazing at every mouse he sees in an alley.

It is NOT illiegal to be an asshole. It is NOT illegal to be a police wannabe, which I admit the doofus is. It is NOT illegal to follow someone in your neighborhood if you suspect he may be up to no good. But it IS illegal to turn on the person following you and attack them and physically batter them, no matter what vile thing they may have said or called you. It was Martin who did the first actually illegal act and it unfortunately cost him his life.
