69. rahm had a lot more support than some folks thought.

i, for one, thought that much of the anti-rahm sentiment looked and smelled like obama derangement.
he has quite a list of accomplishments. he was endorsed by every local environmental group, as well as lgbt groups. not to mention unions, ctu aside.

as an urban farmer, i felt that he really got food. he worked to end food deserts by bringing 9 grocery stores to underserved areas, and has vastly enlarged urban farming and community gardens.

same goes for tech. got google and others to put headquarters here, and has fed the start up economy.
brought a lot of good jobs, and is building on that to bring more.
he has supported the university and healthcare community, which is a sector that provides good jobs. GOOD jobs.

chuy won in the heavily hispanic wards, but he really failed to put anything on the table. he ran the challenger's losing game. "anybody but" doesnt work. it just doesnt.
