In reply to the discussion: Hillary Clinton Launches 2016 Presidential Campaign [View all]handmade34

I think the people working on this campaign are a whole lot smarter than to use actors
The critics will have plenty of time to try to pick that image apart in the free-fire zone of the election campaign, but here she does not make an appearance in the 138-second video until past the 90-second mark. Instead, we see diverse images of modern America - young mothers, ethnic minorities, children of course, a gay couple holding hands, but also an older white woman about to retire and white worker on the factor floor a representation of the Obama coalition from 2008 and 2012, but also some of those working-class and white voting blocs that have turned their backs on the current president.
Only after we hear about the plans of these people (who are the real thing, the campaign has said, not actors) does Mrs Clinton appear, telling viewers that shes getting ready to do something too. She talks about Americans having fought their way back a necessary nod to some economic recovery under Mr Obama but then says that there is further to go. Everyday Americans need a champion, she says. I want to be that champion.
