(10,622 posts)A class seldom heard of that is falling further and further into poverty. One hears often about the middle class, and the beloved upper class.
However even if the politicians are only concerned with the middle class and especially the "investor" class, we not only exist, we are most of America.
If you want to ever meet one of us, leave your suburb, go to the poor part of the city (not the gentrified sections with the cool shops and restaurants) and start talking to people.
Most of our once decent paying jobs have been shipped overseas leaving jobs as clerks and waitresses to the rest of you, and we have to work multiples of them to fall just short of rent. If you slum it up you might see what Free trade and wall street loving pols have reduced most of us to. I imagine you would find us all a bit too ethnic and scary for such an adventure however.
