The issues he stands on are on issues most Americans support. With stagnating wages & unemployment I imagine many people in the South & Midwest are struggling. Plus, he spent several months in Iowa speaking to people with older elderly coming away genuinely believing that he will follow through on what it is they favor. Most people are being left behind in favor of the corporations, everyone sees it. Its just that Bernie genuinely doesn't flip-flop or obvious pander on issues. Times are changing & we have even more young people that turned 18 since 2012 & 2008 & Obama won for all the reasons that said it couldn't be done, plus he ran on issues that were Progressive not playing the middle except for privatization of education. He was clear on that issue.
