But you cant sell anything to someone who doesn't have money, no matter what list of motivators you have. This is not about sales, and not the correct model.

You seem to say don't begrudge them the money they "accumulated" doing whatever since they have lost far more in their prestige and power. If for them it came down to you can have all of ONE of the things you had before, but forfeit all of the others...it would be the MONEY they choose I am certain>


THUS I agree with you to "an extent". Yes they miss the power and prestige more than the money TO AN EXTENT. At the point the money runs out and they can't afford housing and food and health care and supporting their children... etc ... etc... they don't have the luxury of worrying about power and prestige. Anyone who is lamenting their loss of power and prestige due to any wrong doing as punishment enough has money tied to the same wrong doing and trying to protect it because that is truly the one thing they most fear losing. If their money is secure than they get all holier than thou and try and rescue their legacy and regain power.
