43. Dogs by nature

protect their pack, and their pack is their family. Nothing surprising about it. It's dog behavior and any animal that loves their home and family will do it.

The police are just shooting because they can at this point, because everybody knows the family dog is going to protect their people, but will also listen and obey without striking.
