NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — At a state Democratic fundraising dinner here Saturday night, Hillary Rodham Clinton took sharp aim at Donald Trump and his Republican opponents, singling out the real estate mogul on his comments disparaging Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) over his military record.

"There's nothing funny about the hate he is spewing at immigrants and their families and now the insults he has directed at a genuine war hero, Sen. John McCain," she said. Clinton said it was "shameful" that it took Trump's GOP opponents so long to "stand up to him," mostly referring to Trump's comments on immigrants.

Trump spoke at a Republican fundraising dinner about an hour's drive away in Hot Springs on Friday night.

"Last night the new Republican front-runner was here in Arkansas — yes Donald Trump. Finally, a candidate whose hair gets more attention than mine," quipped Clinton.
