In reply to the discussion: Hillary Clinton slams Trump over criticism of McCain [View all]MADem
(135,425 posts)32. McCain didn't hold back on that smarmy Chambliss, either.
McCAIN: Id never seen anything like that ad. Putting pictures of Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden next to the picture of a man who left three limbs on the battlefield its worse than disgraceful. Its reprehensible.

He did do the REALPOLITIK thing when it came to his reelection, but I'd like to think he did it with a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. He's the kind of guy that the waiter spits in his water!
I'll tell ya, if I saw Saxby Chambliss begging for help by the side of the road, I'd pass his ass by.
I think we might wanna worry about MOOSENADO coming down from Canada...don't know why no one has sounded the alarm, yet!!!!!

I consider McCain to be a reluctant 'hero' since his military career was more family legacy

He was a reluctant hero, but the Forrestal rumors were the equivalent of Swiftboating.
