You can't live long in a society like ours (there are no others) and not have your mind a bit twisted by the unending effects of the society, and the high-wire act of trying be a constructive part of it.

You are very well informed. You hit on the fact that because of stigma most people won't get help unless it affects their livelihood, or their very lives. To sum it all up, it's going to be hard to isolate these people before they exit reality. That's why I think you need to fix the society itself. Thanks to right-wing media whores, that will be difficult as well.

THAT is a problem with the way America IS.
