... If Israel's foremost agency on nuclear issues endorses the deal as a means to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons, why does Netanyahu so vehemently oppose it?

I think it's not due to a disagreement about nuclear containment, but because what Bibi really wants is a war against Iran with the USA shouldering the burden.
