6. Whoops - meant uninsulated attic

So not really heated when you think about it! The attic was mostly heated by what rose from the lower floors, according to Mom. Of course, she hated the cold and never voluntarily went anywhere it could snow during winter ever again. She was very happy when Dad brought her home to Florida!

One of Mom's stories was about food storage. Dad told her to put their meat and other perishables on the window sill to keep them cold. Great free storage until the window froze shut and Mom couldn't retrieve food to make dinner!

I like the snow sculptures - they're kind of neat.
