In reply to the discussion: Donald Trump on waterboarding: 'Even if it doesn't work they deserve it' [View all]rtb61
(14 posts)Here is a person running for government and cheered on by a crowd, publicly admitting that torture of people is a part of their punishment. Keep in mind, that punishment as admitted by them is upon accusation and not after a public trial normally demanded by them because specifically you can not trust government.
So you now have public executions when ever citizens disrespect police, torture as punishment upon accusation of commuting a crime and I suppose no trial necessary once the victim confesses to a crime they have been told they committed and until they confess they are tortured and well, sometimes they die of natural causes for failure to confess whilst being tortured.
Trump is advocating an end to innocent until proven guilty and no right to a trial prior to be punished based upon nothing but accusation by government.
In quite a few countries Trump would be under arrest for advocating criminal activities, instigating violence and hate speech.
