I am. I teach Latin American history at a major state university. I have a hard enough time teaching US foreign policy in Latin America in this current political climate without the fear that some student is carrying a gun. I do not need that additional stress. I don't get paid enough to be concerned that my students are carrying guns. If students are so worried about their personal safety and freedoms that they can't leave their dangerous little toys at home, then they do not need to be on a college campus with self-actualized human beings. Adding guns on campus to the mix of insecurities, nerves, anxieties that college students experience is monumental stupidity. There is a reason that university presidents and police leaders don't want guns on campus.

I'll quit my job the minute guns are allowed on my campus.
