Because as much as I agree with you that each of the above characters will do (or rather, try) precisely what you predict, the voters have a funny way of deciding what does or does not make someone unelectable.
My consolation would be that Trump isn't the psychopath we would get with Cruz, or the prostitute we would get with Narco Rubio. And it's common knowledge he doesn't believe most of what he's saying on his stump speeches.
Who knows? He might even make a halfway decent President - just like Hillary.
