I have seen some horrible things on Twitter in response to Nancy Reagan's death. Look, I was a child of the 80s. I was born in 78 so Ronald and Nancy Reagan were my first President and First Lady when I came to understand what those things were. This was a time in which I was innocent and untainted by the nastiness of politics. All I knew is that Ronald Reagan was my President and I loved him. Sure, as I have gotten older I see how very disastrous his policies were in an number of areas, but there was still a sense of sadness from me when he passed. In addition, Nancy was a tough lady. No she wasn't on the right side of many issues either, but she adored her Ronnie and I remember crying with her when she broke down at his casket. So yes, on this day I mourn the loss of a First Lady of the United States and hope that she is at peace and reunited with her beloved Ronnie.
