67. Excuse me, but I'm going to use a phrase that may be unfamiliar here ...

... "Politics as usual." The sitting President is the nominal leader of his party, as well as the nation as a whole. The party leadership, in their dubious wisdom, selected Ms. Dubya-Schultz as the National Party Chairperson. Forgive me, but I do not see a graceful way for the President to NOT endorse a national party chairperson who is running for office. He may not have been terribly happy to make this endorsement, but had to make it nonetheless - anything else would be unseemly indeed!

Maybe, after the endorsement, the President did what Bill Maher did last Friday night. After saying that given ONLY the choice between President Donald Trump and President Ted Cruz, he would have to pick Cruz (Ted has the thicker skin, was essentially his reason) Maher washed his mouth out from a bottle labeled "BLEACH". I know I'd be tempted to do that if I was in Obama's position.
