(39,171 posts)19. I think the big deal for the Falklands is the fisheries
access to the Falklands as staging areas for mineral exploration is something Argentina would like. There are enough pieces on the table to forge a deal that would benefit all.

Well, it means the western half of said zone is now illegal per international laws of the sea.

Nope. Everything from Argentina to Antarctica is now Argentina's, except for the 12 mile bubble.
