Do you know what percent of Democratic voters in the South -- the South that Bernie dismissed as not progressive enough -- are African American? In Mississippi it's 71%. But it's not just Southern state black people who support Hillary. In New York three times as many black people voted for Hillary as Bernie.
So what propelled her win in the South is the same thing that will propel her in the General -- her strong support among minority voters. This was first evidenced in the South, but has been repeated in every primary since then. Bernie hasn't carried African American voters in a single state -- not even Vermont.
