If only 5% more kids voted Democrat nationally, not just for president, it would shift the national balance of power away from conservative forces to liberal. It'd be huge.

As for being influenced by Bernie voters, fortunately a large block is fellow fairly well informed liberals of all ages, and they're fine. I declined him because I decided he was blowing smoke about what he could achieve, and because I questioned if where he would draw limits on his actions is where I would (turned out to be justified), but I fully understand their desire to push for, to demand "more."

The rest of Bernie's followers, though -- the irrational partisans, the earnest-but-clueless newly involved, the resentful anti-establishments and "where's mines," the hyper-righteous radicals, the malicious anti-Hillary meanies, the fifth-column conservatives? No way! Like most of us watching this berner stew boil from a distance, I just wish Bernie would turn the heat down under them.
