2. It's not just an economic issue.

A majority of these gun crimes in Chicago are gang related and most of these gangbangers come from broken homes and families.

When you grow up in a bleak environment with crappy schools and no jobs, the allure of dope slinging and stealing is strong, that I know. But it doesn't help when these kids living in this environment have no stable homes to live in, no father figures to guide them, and no positive role models to look up to. I said this before, but one of the main reasons why kids join gangs isn't just money, it's to be apart of a "family". Economics and illegal gun ownership are parts of the issue, but they're not the only parts either.
