Don't forget that one Bill Kristol was partially responsible for the phenom DUers affectionately refer to as "Caribou Barbie." Recalling his never ending wrong predictions, has Kristol ever actually had a political success? Well there is Dan Quayle, I suppose. (Snort!) Further reading on Bill Kristol and Sarah Palin, if you have the stomach for it:

The rise and fall of Bill Kristol's crush on Sarah Palin
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/onetime-booster-bill-kristol-sours-on-sarah-palin/

My favorite quote from the piece:

Kristol publicly predicted that John McCain would tap the then-largely-unknown Palin as his running mate in June 2008; he reportedly pushed the McCain campaign to select her after being dazzled by Palin during a 2007 lunch in Alaska. Kristol said in November 2008 that Palin "reminds me a lot of FDR."

Besides the obvious question of what constituted "dazzled by Palin" for Kristol, who knew that Bill Kristol had a crush on FDR? How is that even possible?
