And making Ryan sweat may make us feel good, but doesn't change anything.
Basically this is a lost opportunity election. Our very best practical case is a right-leaning, corporate friendly President, an ineffective majority in the Senate, and the teabaggers still in control of the House. That's the best case, and that's what you get when one side fires up their base and the other side always looks for the safest, less confrontational path.
And leaving the Sanders/Clinton thing aside, Hillary is a step back to the older generation that oversaw the deconstruction of the Grest Society and the elimination of the American middle class. Let's hope that she chooses a dynamic young leader as VP who can at least give us a sliver of hope looking ahead to the 2020s.
