71. Then why are they Republicans?

The Republican party has been homophobic, racist, sexist, warmongering, theocratic, gun-humping, anti-immigrant, anti-union, anti-poor, anti-peace, anti-science and anti-environment for at least 35 years. No one can honestly claim not to know all that, and anyone who has voted for any Republican, or who has supported the Republican party in any way over that time is complicit in that and in what the Republican party is and does now. Saying that someone is conservative and fears change doesn't absolve them of the responsibility for not supporting such things.

Yes, I know, everyone like to think that their friends and family members who are Republicans aren't like that. But the questions stands. If they don't support those things, why are they loyal Republicans? Those things are what the Republican party is all all about.
