7,000 running for office. Posted hours ago.

They signed up asking for info about running. Info they could easily have gotten from their local party, should they have asked. And info they will still have to go to their local party for if they decide to stick a toe in the waters.

It is indeed a good thing having more people interested, but what are Bernie's plans for keeping them interested in the future? How does he plan on keeping "the movement" from fizzling out, like so many others have?

Many of us here have been in this for the long haul, have worked thanklessly on many campaigns, and have indeed run for office ourselves. We have noticed that many of those fresh new faces register shock at certain realities, and never come back.

It would be nice if Bernie stuck around to hold some hands, or built a real organization to keep the faith around the tough times.
