That's his base, that's how he steamrolled the Repug primaries. He appeals to all the white trash folk, rich, poor and in between, who are the "victims" of a changing society. Their standard refrain is "What has happened to America?"... when referring to the disappearance of the good ole boy success network which worked to the detriment of all who aren't good ole boys.
