Which is a relief as it would have been disastrous to exclude him from the ballot.

Although the rules for this leadership contest (including suspending party meetings and raising the fee for supporters who wish to vote in the contest from £3 to £25) have pissed off everybody on all wings of the Labour party.

I am glad to see they are looking to calm things down and give Corbyn a graceful way out. hrmjustin Jul 2016 #1
Corbyn was elected with59.5% of the votes, the runner up got 19.0% Jemmons Jul 2016 #11
How many people voted in that leadership election? hrmjustin Jul 2016 #12

Brexit is a pretty vague explanation if that is all they got. Ash_F Jul 2016 #4
They had that and decorated it with suggestion about results of the next election which they seem Jemmons Jul 2016 #5
I would ask them to elaborate Ash_F Jul 2016 #6
Yes. 0.0 reason. But pure nothing sold with appeals to fear, authority, tradition and greed will Jemmons Jul 2016 #7
Oh I am sure they have their reasons. They just won't say it publicly. Ash_F Jul 2016 #8
What should be obvious to anyone is that this is motivated more than anything by greed for power Jemmons Jul 2016 #9
Haha, point taken. I guess I should have said "interests" Ash_F Jul 2016 #10
Do you think the neoliberal PTB care about pesky democracy? Odin2005 Jul 2016 #15
Labour's biggest problems are incompetence and infighting T_i_B Jul 2016 #24
How can they make him step down without a vote? Ash_F Jul 2016 #25
They've decided against that T_i_B Jul 2016 #26
I mean what are the legal mechanics of making him step down? Ash_F Jul 2016 #27
They obviously can't force him out T_i_B Jul 2016 #28
So the neoliberal Blairites won their anti-democratic coup. Labour is doomed. Odin2005 Jul 2016 #14
Oh - nothing is settled now Jemmons Jul 2016 #22
