We are discussing whether this man deserves our support as democrats for the US senate.

In my moral universe, irrespective of ultimate fault or whether she hit him too or whether some of the reports are exaggerated and all the rest, this hedge fund manager who keeps his millions in the Caymans and allows his children to survive under such egregious marital conditions for years and who is clearly a bullying personality based on his public acts as a politician (whether one agrees with his arguments or not, he expresses them with relentless and often gratuitously mean aggression, what are the odds he turns that off in his private life?) deserves to be rejected as a candidate for major public office representing important interests of the people of Florida and the Democratic Party. We get to decide that, we have evidence enough of his character. Just because he's "our" pit bull doesn't mean he's safe around our kids.

Being nasty is a quality we value in entertainers. We should not stoop to valuing it in politicians. That's for republicans.
