People sweat when they're nervous about something.
So the company apologizes to the couple, maybe gives them a free flight, then drops it. They tell the flight crew to be more careful about who they remove from the flight, but they'll be backed in whatever they feel they need to do in the future to ensure the safety of their flight. No one has to go through any sensitivity training. No one gets fired.
The couple may sue for something, but I honestly don't know what for. The flight crew made a call. It was the wrong one. But they shouldn't be afraid for their jobs when it comes time to make a call like that. Not when you have the lives of more than 200 people in your hands.
