(1,727 posts)45. This has always baffled me. The rules of engagement for military personnel who are deployed in war
zones are much stricter that the ones that police officers are subject to while carrying out their duties. That's why I find it absurd that anybody would defend these guys shooting without identifying themselves or before they have any idea of what's going on in a situation just because they feel threatened in that particular moment. A soldier, sailor or marine who did the same would be court-martialed.
