The world is progressing and these religious dinosaurs are in the bullseye of an impact event that is, in turn, threatening their own religious organizations. The Church is already shedding members, a half million estimated world-wide every year. Ten percent of the U.S. population are former Catholics and younger members are turning their faces away from the faith completely. It would be great if Mormons performed a mass exodus as well. But, they're not a just-on-Sunday religion. Their faith extends into every facet of their lives and they have a powerful social and professional networking system that rewards them with school and job referrals and recommendations that keep them connected in home life, work, college, and binds them together in a, well, cult-like fashion.
