This reminds me of people who say that we must remain in Afghanistan forever, because if we don't, we will have lost everything we gained and that outcome is insupportable.
Absolute nonsense.
If we say that something must be true because, if it is not, all puppies and cats will die, that does not make it true. (Let me say that I like puppies and cats, especially kittens. By the way, if anyone would like 16-year-old cat that sheds, feel free to give me a jingle.)
Bevin is stating his conclusions in this end-of-times Manner of speaking because he thinks that it will motivate people. And it may well motivate quite a few, especially if you talk about people spilling their blood, etc. But that does not make it logical or correct. No matter what the consequences, the logic overall may well dispute it. And clearly he knows the lies he is spouting.
