(36,063 posts)37. Unfortunately, none of the candidates of any party are very good on mental health issues.
The candidates' understanding rarely rises above the colloquy of 'common knowledge' of breakrooms and kitchen tables.
With a few notable exceptions, as a cohort politicians are particularly bad on mental illness and -social- gun violence, and have done much to create the public view that mentally ill who have not killed someone should be considered perps in waiting.
