In reply to the discussion: Top Republican a defiant response to intelligence on Russia's alleged involvement in the election [View all]csziggy

There has been something "off" about many of the reactions from Republicans at the top. In addition to the establishment of a useful Putin puppet at the top of the ticket - and stopping the election of a powerful woman who always stood up to Putin - the Russian now have information that can be used to manipulate the Republican leaders.

I expect a Trump Administration to be as vigilant and effective on this issue as the Bush Administration was about terrorism for its first eight months in office lazy and disinterested if they cant make a buck or make political hay out of it. Because Republicans.
The short fingered vulgarian and his cadre seem uninterested in the intelligence briefings, even less than the GWBush crowd. I wonder what essential pieces of information they will ignore that could allow another massive attack on this country?

I agree, Republicans seem afraid of an investigation & a 'deeper' report. IMO, some are blackmailed.

If Russia sought to undermine the electoral process, that is the act of an enemy state.
