I remember finding Postcards very hard to watch. I had a very demanding mom. I have no doubt Carrie loved her, but yes, they can be difficult.

Also, people bring up Carrie's drug use use. Well, yeah, she was bipolar and sometimes they self medicate. Uppers when they're down (cocaine) and downers (in her case Percocet) when they're manic. Obviously it's a bad idea, but it's hardly uncommon.

Yoyo and crash diets are hard on the heart too.

She was very open about her bipolar diagnosis, including her medication regimen and getting ECT. Maybe her openess helped others get treatment and maybe saved some lives. For that, she was a hero to me
