(7,024 posts)32. The Sears Essentials merger change about 15 years ago
whenthey bought Kmart was their downfall....I actually worked for contractors that organized and set up a couple of those stores (Sears Essentials)
and I mentioned to a Sears Rep that "this Sears Essentials thing will never work"..I lost that job because of that comment and a short time later I saw the two stores close that were the Sears Essentials brand.
