1. TB is rough to treat and even rougher in a transient/homeless population

At one time, the idea of putting TB patients in prison, to ensure they received the entire 6 months of treatment, was considered. Drug resistant TB emerged because people wouldn't finish the cycle of antibiotics, so all the bacteria wasn't killed and the ones that survived were stronger/resistant.

This is so reckless and having worked in medicine in Fla, I have little respect for many of the practitioners there, but this is beyond corruption, this is criminally insane.
