This would be a nice meme resolution to the impasse(stonewalling too impolite, too reminiscent of retro-Nixon days when it mattered?). The meme would leave both sides frozen honestly in place so we can move on to a) a nice campaign meme("dummying" up) b) a nice slew of routine criminal investigations c) the real importance of the underlying issues(job destruction profiteering, offshore accounts, etc.).

Bravo to a rare instance of the Dems successfully pushing, against media fraud and pressure and GOP favoritism, for an attack meme with legal teeth in it. Maybe they might recall the power of the law and dissemination of truth needs responsible champions.

This isn't the Grassy Knoll. This is a candidate for the presidency with the simple records refusing to clear things up. The answers are there. Whether it is the principle involved or the guilt, Romney is hiding the evidence.
