In Ft. Lauderdale they have homeless selling newspapers which is a upscale form of panhandling. I've been told by the locals that these people have MRSA and that the papers are infected. I don't know if this is true, but really have no easy and safe way to find out. It's Florida so there are all sorts of money collection scams going on. "Churches" and "War Veterans" are popular.
