And some do. Freedom and responsibility. The push-pull that is such a wonderful part of this country where most often we're trusted with freedom until we prove unworthy of it. It's been an interesting experiment in liberty with triumphs and crash-and-burns. If everyone took their freedom's responsibilities more seriously we'd probably be safer, more courteous and more equitable as a society.
I see this play out in mundane situations like behavior in traffic to societal concerns such as equitable hiring practices. Freedom and responsibility. Sorry to harp on that, but that issue has been my recent favorite idea, so I see it everywhere right now.
